The door met this 3 legged toy box...not so impressed!
Toy box decided to get a makeover. She had her legs done (with button feet and gorilla glue)
Wow! Door decided to clean himself up too. (Yucky glass is all gone!)
They decided they loved being TOGETHER and they wanted to get married.
They both got all dressed up(with red paint) for the occasion and they joined together (I just screwed the back of the toy box to the door).
First came love then came marriage then came a baby shelf on cute little brackets, an old hook and wreath and blankets.
And they lived Happily Ever After. The End...

Very nice! We used an old door for a project a few days back too and loved it. You might want to stop by and take a look!

ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing idea!! Your finished product looks fabulous. I'm new at the DIY stuff, so where would be a good place to look for an old door like that?
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work!
Hey Jennifer! SO glad you stopped by! I was lucky enough to see this baby out on the street ready to be thrown out. I asked the owner for it and here she is today! I think if you look at places like Habitat for Humanity they have stores that sell stuff that is from older homes or left over construction stuff. You might want to try googling and see if there is one near you. Otherwise, keep your eyes peeled. You might see one that someone is trying to get rid of. I hope this helps!;)

How clever! Storage and style all from a couple pieces of junk. Love the way it turned out!
