The Happy Marriage Of Door and Toy Box!

Once upon a time there was a door.

The door met this 3 legged toy box...not so impressed!

Toy box decided to get a makeover. She had her legs done (with button feet and gorilla glue)

Wow! Door decided to clean himself up too. (Yucky glass is all gone!)

They decided they loved being TOGETHER and they wanted to get married.
They both got all dressed up(with red paint) for the occasion and they joined together (I just screwed the back of the toy box to the door).

First came love then came marriage then came a baby shelf on cute little brackets, an old hook and wreath and blankets.

And they lived Happily Ever After. The End...

Farm Fence Clock

So the fence isn't a farm fence. We removed part of ours for our home addition to be finished. I reassembled it and went to work. I got this idea from the super talented girls over at Alchemy Junk. Here is what I did.
Took my fence piece and cleaned it up.

Then I watered down some cream acrylic paint and white washed the whole thing.

Next, I made a compass with a nail and a piece of string. I used a small paint brush instead of a pencil.

I then went back over it with a thicker paint brush.

My awesome neighbor let be borrow her cricut and I cut out an I,V,and X and used them as stencils. I used watered down black paint.

Here she is with all her numbers...

Then I sanded her down. All around the edges, each number and the circle to tone down the black.

Now she needed a little rusting. I combined red, yellow and brown paint with a little water and rubbed it over all the holes.

And here she is in all of her fabulousness!

Can't you just hear the roosters crowin? I love this...don't you? Thanks to the girlies over at .....Alchemy Junk. I'm linking up to Shanty2Chic's Party

more girlie stuff

Now for my little girls' room...I was SOOOOOO excited! I went on the hunt for some plain pink curtain panels. I needed 4. Everywhere I looked they were way more than I wanted to spend and it was always for just one panel. Well, I went to Big Lots hoping I could find SOMETHING! GUESS WHAT?! Under a huge pile of stuff, I found FOUR packages of pink curtains..each $5 a piece. NO WAY, RIGHT?! WAIT, it gets better. I opened them up when I got home, and there were TWO panels in each package. SO, I got 8 panels for 20 bucks...the price for one panel at other stores. YAY! The bargain fairy is definitely watching over me. SO, I have enough to do the curtains and a couple of other fun projects too. Here they are... to be continued...

The BOYS room

I am so unfocused! You would think I could stay in ONE room and do ONE project at a time... well,I CAN'T! So, I'm showing you what I've been up to. I went into my boys' room to tidy up and ended up doing a total organizing overhaul. I saw this first idea on someones fun blog...I can't remember! (sorry) Please let me know if this was your idea.
Welcome to my boys' newly organized dressers. Here's the trick... If you store clothes like this you can see all of them at once (no digging necessary)and you can also store a ton of stuff. LOVE IT! Look at all of that extra space too. WOOHOO!

Next, I ventured under the beds, into the closet and behind the door. SCARY, you say? NOT. NO. MO! Check it out! It looks and feels so much better.

Now, maybe I can finish up some of my other PROJECTS! We shall see...
