Isn't she lovely?

I couldn't help but take LOTS of pictures of my new little beauty! I went on a hunt for her and found her for the perfect price...$10.00. WOOO HOOO! Take a look...
Don't you just love those cute little buttons? If I were small enough I would totally be skippin' across them in cute little shoes!

I think I'm in LOVE!

Springin' up!

I love Dollar Tree! I went in the other day and $5 later came out with all this. Oh, and two of their famous birds. I had a plan! I saw THIS and THIS and I wanted it all!
SO, I did what I could, made my own.

I painted everything blue then made my own glaze ( brown and black paint watered down)Wipe on, Wipe off. Next, I sanded everything. I found my music paper and inked it and
placed it in the frames. Then, I made a nest for each frame (thanks to lil' Miss Brassy Apple! She saved me!) and glued my blue eggs in. That's it!
The birdies are on my candle sticks until spring is over. I just made them a little nest I set on top. I love how everything turned out! $5 isn't bad. HAppy SPring!

Eh...What's up Doc?

That is exactly what I feel like saying when I see these! I know, I'm a total nerd! I'll show you how I made them...

I pulled the spindles off of this old head board.
As you can see I did it VERY carefully!;)

Then, I gave them a coat of a fun orange colored paint. Then I sanded them up a bit.

Next, I added a sprig of green floral to the top with hot glue.

Then, I tied them off with a little green ribbon.

That's it!

Now, if only I could decide where to put 'em.

I know I'm placing them on my piano...

Should I put them in a jar or strewn about? Where would you put them? In the TRASH is not an option!

Ruffles in PINK

Okay, so I promised I would update you on what I was doing with the extra curtains panels. HERE I AM! I am so excited to share. My first project was this lamp that I found at a local thrift store. The price tag said $2.00. Guess what...I went on "end of the month half price day"! SWEET! My lamp ended up being only $1.00. WOOOHOO! I know she isn't totally fabulous, but she will be after a spray of black paint.

Great, right?! I'm loving it already. Now the shade. I found it for $5.00. I wasn't fond of the color.
No problem! I found an idea I loved HERE. This is where the curtains come in. I cut part of it into strips and sewed them into little ruffled peices...so CUTE! Then with my handy glue gun I went around the lamp until it was all covered. EZ!
All DONE! I added a couple of rosettes that I made for some blingy! Here she is Light ON and Light OFF! I love how fun it was to make. It was cheap too! 6 BUCKS, BABY!

Target pillow knock -off

Here's where I used my lovely curtains once again. YAY! I wanted this pillow SOOOOO BAD! I didn't want to have to pay a lot for it though. I have been waiting for it to go on clearance. You know this cute pie never will! It is just too cute to! SO, I was determined to make my own. Here's how I did it. I slip covered a pillow with my curtain fabric. Then I cut some more into strips.

I layered them in a circle on the pillow with my glue gun.
Then, I made a rosette to go in the middle.
I think it's pretty darn close to what I wanted.

I love it even more. FREE! FREE!FREE!
