Suitening up the kitchen

I have this wall in my kitchen that drives me just a little crazy. You can't really do much with it. It's a small space behind my kitchen table. I have been loving the walls with the photo collages all over bloggy land. So, here's what I came up with. I LOVE IT!

A lot of the frames are from dollar tree. I didn't even paint them!

I searched for a fun kitchen quote and found this one. "Enjoy Life, Its Delicious" I cut the saying out with my cricut and then put in right on the glass of the frame. The matting is more of that fun scrapbook paper. I just glued it on.

The best part was going on the hunt for pictures of us eating. We have a lot of pictures with food involved. WE LOVE TO EAT.

I'm so excited about my SUIT new wall. I just had to share! Hope you are all having a great summer!

Bookalicious Picture Frames

I'm supposed to be guest posting this same project over at "Sassy Style" on Tuesday. For some crazy reason, poor Tausha, could not get my post to work. Here I am tryin' to help a fellow blogger out and all I did was make her go to bed mad. I feel SO bad. What I decided to do was just post it here since it probably will never work for her...I feel SO BAD! (Oh, I already said that, sorry!) If you do get a chance, you'll have to go over and say "WHAT UP!" to Miss Tausha! She does some pretty amazing stuff and I think she's pretty amazing herself. Miss Tausha, if you're reading this..Have fun on your trip!=)
Moving on, cause that is what I have to is what I'm going to show you how to make today! Old book frames. FABULOUS! Right? I saw this cute idea over at "junkmarket"

Here is what you need:
Old frame glass

Old Books

Old frame back, rubber band and pictures!

Okay are you ready? This is going to be REALLY difficult! Can you handle it?
Rubber band it all together!

Tie it with cute ribbon!

Make a fun tag!

Here it is in all of it's cuteness!
One of my besties, MAGS was wondering what to do for Father's day... I think these would be fun for a Father's day gift. Maybe use twine or rope or a more masculine ribbon. They would be perfect on your dad's desk. I don't know if he even has one;) You could put an old picture of him and his dad together. Or a picture with the grandkids in sepia. Just a thought!

I hope you likey! Thanks for being here. SmOochEs.

I'M YELLING THIS BECAUSE I'M SO EXCITED! I'm finally done and I love it. I was inspired by all of your comments on my "Mantel Dilemma Post". THANK YOU! If you missed it, here is the before.
I added the berries, stars, pictures that I love, and I even built my own little flower box. Then, I painted my shutters cream to balance my cream monster entertainment center that is on the other side of the room. Well, do you all recognize anything else? OH, come on, I know you see it! I used some more handy dandy fencing wood. If you're wondering how I made the shutters, I used Donna's shutter tutorial HERE. EASY! The flower box is just a simple LOOOOOONNNNNGGGG rectangle out of fencing. That's it. I love the cozy feel I get when I walk in the door now! I wish I had my camera handy when my hubby saw it. When I saw his face I knew I'd done good!:) Thanks for being so patient sweetie and thanks for loving all that I do! This MANTLE's for YOU! Oh, and of course YOU too. Thanks girlies!
