BLOGGERS...we have a problem!

I should have really said, "I" have a problem! It's not THAT serious. OKAY, it is serious! If you know me, you know I have this AWFUL obsession with Peanut Butter and Chocolate.

OH YEAH! My friends all know I would be totally happy with a HUGE jar of PB and a LARGE bag of chocolate chips, any day. NO KIDDING! I even had one of my friends husbands smother a brownie with PB just cause he KNOWS it's a total sin to give me chocolate WITHOUT the PB. SEEEEEE, I DO have a serious problem. I'm totally DROOLING just thinking about it! OKAY, SO, I found two of the yummiest cookie recipes EVER! I ate a whole pan of each kind just to make sure they were worthy of posting. (Hey, I workout hard, I totally deserved them ALL, right?! Tell my stomach ache that! OH MAN! BAD, BAD JENNIE!)

You all have seen these. Peanut Butter Blossoms. I found the PB hearts at Dollar Tree of course. OH. SO. FABULOUSLY YUMMY! I found this recipe from How Sweet It Is.

Peanut Butter Blossoms
makes approximately 48 cookies

2 sticks butter, softened

1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter

1 cup sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 1/2 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons milk

1/2 cup sugar, for rolling

2 bags PB Hearts or REESES EVEN BETTER! (you only need ~48), unwrapped

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Cream butter and peanut butter together until smooth. Add sugars and cream for 2-3 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until combined. Stir in vanilla. Add flour, baking soda and salt, just mixing until combined, then add in milk. Cover and refrigerate dough for 30 minutes or up to 2 days.

Roll cookies into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar. Lay on baking sheet about 1 inch apart. Bake at 375 for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and push Kiss down into the middle of each cookie. Return to oven and bake for 2 1/2 more minutes. Remove and let cool completely.

Okay, so one more recipe. The recipe and cute picture are from Confessions of a Cookbook. YUMMO!

Heart Shaped PB Chocolate Sandwich Cookies!

INGREDIENTS

1 cup butter-flavored shortening
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 375.

In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream shortening, peanut butter, and both sugars on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla and mix until blended.

In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add slowly to the butter mixture and mix on medium speed until completely combined.

Shape into 1 inch balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Flatten to about 1/4 inch thickness with a fork (right after this step, I cut my cookies with a small heart cookie cutter and threw excess cookie dough back in the bowl). Sprinkle cookies with sugar and bake for 7-8 minutes or until edges turn golden. Remove to wire racks to cool.

* I used a can of chocolate frosting and I put it in a bag and piped it onto a cookie them topped it with another cookie. YUM!

I think I gained about 50 lbs. just typing up this darn post! NOW, whose gonna join me in the PB and CHOCOLATE MADNESS? Let me know! That way I wont feel SOOOOOO ALOOONEE! ENJOY!

The last of the LOVE day stuff!

I'm here to wish all my bloggy peeps a Happy Valentine's Day! To show you how much I love you I'm here to barf the last of all my LOVE day decor. I know, I know, SO done with the Valentine's day stuff! This is the last of it. PROMISE!

Our little girl LOVES her blankie. She hates when it goes missing. Now, that is true love don'tcha think? That wasn't why I had this picture posted. I'm posting this because I think my Mom is pretty amazing. She knitted this fabulous sweater dress for my little girl who sported is to church this past Sunday. Didn't she do an awesome job? It amazes me that it all started out with a ball of yarn. THANKS MA! I LOVE IT! The blingy necklace and flower is a "Sassy Bling by Stacy Lee" original. Ummmm hmmmm. She's my bestie! SOOOO CUTE. Thanks girlie!

Here's our mantle. Simple but full of hearts and lots of pink and red.

I had these wood blocks from my friend who donated to the "Jennie needs more junk association". I saw Lyndsey's block that she had all wrapped up and loved how they looked. COPIED!

Here's a fun 2x4 craft that's super easy. Can you say decoupage? I got the idea from here.

I hope you enjoyed your day with the people you love. I know I did! Love you guys...Thanks for being here!

LOVE nest

I was at Dollar Tree the other day....total surprise, I know! I spotted two birdies on the very bottom shelf all by themselves. They tweeted at me...SERIOUSLY! They asked me to take them home. I told them I already had some awesome BLUE birdies from last spring.

Then they got a little nervy and tweeted right back, "Paint us PINK! We would be totally hot in pink!" That's when I yelled out, "HECK YA! Hop on in my cart, we're gonna paint ya pink!"

They were SO right, HOT in pink! They were missing one little thing, they needed a LOVE nest. After all they ARE Valentine birdies!

This is just a canvas that I painted pink. I then cut the letters out with my cricut and stenciled on the word NEST in red on the bottom. The nest is just like my nests from last spring. I used some moss and I added the Dollar Tree hearts for eggs Here are a few more pictures. Enjoy!

Who knows, there just might be two little birdies out there, tweeting out, so they too can be painted pink. Hurry, let's paint them all! I know, I'm such a DORK!

Cupid's Cabinet

HEY my SUITE people! Sorry for the small delay...we've been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sick. Wash your hands after you read this so you don't catch it. I wouldn't wish that nasty on anyone! We are doing a little better today. Good enough to craft anyway!
Check out this SUPER cute "Love Note Station" from Miss Lyndsey. I REALLY want to make one. YEAH, it's not happenin' this year! LYNDS, just send me yours my way, will ya?! Not really:) Okay, so REALLY! Heeeheee!

Remember my little red cabinet (tool chest I found it in my Mom's garage of treasures)? The Love Note Station totally inspired me. Ours is a little different, we are using ours as "Cupid's Cabinet".

Inside I store the kids' valentine mailboxes. As we are counting down, if the countdown says Cupid left them a little somethin' somethin' they check inside the cabinet.

Also, tomorrow we start making Valentines for each other. Inside each drawer are supplies so they can get their Valentine on!

I also made a Valentine sign to hang from my post that is sitting on top of Cupid's Cabinet. I just used an old frame and some vinyl.
Here are a few pictures:

Are you guys doing a love note station or anything fun like that? I'd love to see pictures:). Send me your link in my comments. Okay, now go and wash your hands! That stuff is just nasty wrong! Stay healthy...I have a few more crafts to post.

{Suite} Monday Munchies!

Okay people!

I found the EASIEST lollipop recipe ever. I'm SO excited! It uses Jello. They even turn out pretty flippin' cute!

I found the recipe here @ Food Network it's from Paula Deen. I love that lady. The only thing I did different than the recipe was I didn't add the butter. And, I used my metal cookie cutters as a mold.
Turned out perfect!

The kids enjoyed them for our Valentine Countdown today and they are already begging me to make different flavors. OH, the possibilities with Jello! Enjoy!

3,2,1...SO much fun!

I told you we were doing a countdown.

Here it is.

I had lots of pockets left over from my jean laundry curtain. Then this idea popped in my head. I decided to google and see if anyone else thought of the same idea. Over at How Does She? there is a Christmas Countdown almost just like it. MAN, great minds think alike! I used stuff that I already had so this project was FREE for me!

Wanna make one? Cut out 14 pockets.

Hot glue them to some twine.

Embellish. I was wishing I had fun RED buttons. Oh well! You should totally add buttons to yours:)

Then I cut out vinyl for the numbers. EASY!

Some of the ideas for the countdown I got from Secrets of a Super Mommy. Some other ones I got from my bloggy sistah...Lyndsey(love her!). Fun stuff! We like fun stuff.

Here it is hanging from our mantle. Do you see that little red cabinet down there? I'm going to tell you all about it in my next post. More fun to come:)
