The Sign of Savings!

Why the stink does cute stuff have to cost so much money?!    For instance,
this.  Isn't it cute?  Perfect for Little Man's room.  UGGHHHH!  Then, I saw the price and I cried and cried and cried. Ya know, being Miss Cheapness of Cinnaberry Suite is a hard title to maintain! Pshhhh... It takes lots of hardwork, blood, sweat and tears (lots of these). In the end it's all worth it. Cha-ching for me! Here's my own version of the million dollar sign. For how much, you ask? Free!

  More projects to come.  Smooches!

Time to SCORE!

I've been working really hard on finishing my Little Man's room. His poor walls have been screamin' for some fancy on them.

Here was a little somethin'.

I spotted something like this on PB. Instead of the clock they used half a soccer ball (which you might be seeing on his wall soon too!} CUTE!

I found the little clock at Target for $4. The vinyl really made the wall look so much better.

While we are in here, I have a few other new things to share. My Dad found this at DI for me.

YAY! I love how rusty and old it looks. Don't ya love it too?!

I took this picture of my happy boy and had it made into a poster at Costco. I mounted it on foam board from Dollar Tree and there we go!

Then, I found this DANG CUTE basket at TJ MAXX. I wasn't sure where I was going to put it...well, I think I found the perfect spot. YAY again! Heehee.

I need to get back to work. I have a few more projects and then I can show you it ALL done. For now, here is a picture of a CORNER of his room finished!

Have a happy day.

I'm workin' on cleaning things up around here....EEEKKK! I remember as a little girl I would go on a cleaning craze. I would pull EVERYTHING out of my closet reorganize and make it look fabulous. There was ALWAYS one problem, I would turn around to see a mountain of mess that I forgot to put BACK in the closet. Well,well,well...WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE?! ONE {SUITE} mess! This all looks WAY too familiar. Heeehee! Thanks for stickin' with me! Smooches!

Earth Day ( Never too late! )

I wrote this post for Earth Day. I'm not THAT late am I? Okay, so WHATEVER! I'm posting it today, get over it...chuckles! LOVE YA!

I have the hardest time getting rid of any of my boys' old shirts. I know, I'm a total pack rat! Each shirt is passed down to the next boy until it has lived a life full of mud, ketchup and chocolate and is FULL of little boy memories. Sniff, sniff...How do you let those memories go?!

Am I the ONLY one out there who has this problem? COME ON with me here!

I found a solution just in case I'm NOT the only one with this very same problem.

Make a quilt or two or three...or better yet, one for each kid!

This is the quilt set I made out of old shirt and school pants for my Little Man's bed. He LOVES it! I LOVE IT! I get to see him all curled up in happy memories with his little smile peeking out the top. THE BEST!

Another awesome thing, I didn't have to throw away our nasty old shirts or pants. We LOVE our planet:)

I get to check yet another little thing off my darn list that is WAY too long of things to do {How'd you like that run on sentence?!} GO ME! Have a happy day! So what are you doing today?

Update:  I just posted a tut for this project here!  Thanks for stopping by!

Triple Chocolate Oreo Bars {Suite Munchies}

SO many bars...SO little time! I spotted these babies over at Cookies and Cups. These poor little bars of sinful goodness didn't have a chance at my Momma's.

We had a house full of CHOCOHOLICS! We finished half the pan in like 5 minutes.

They are once again, SO FLIPPIN' YUMMY! A must share FO SHIZZLE!

The Ingredients:

1 18 oz. package of Oreo cookies
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
1 cup white chocolate chips, melted

1. Preheat the oven to 325F. Line a 9 x 13 baking pan with foil (shiny side down) and give it a good coating of non-stick spray.

2. Set aside 8 Oreo cookies, and then put the rest in a large food processor. You’ll want the cookies as fine as possible. Add the salt to the crumbs and then stir to combine.

3. Melt the butter and gently stir into the cookie crumbs. Then, dump the crumbs into the foil-lined pan and press them to the bottom to form an Oreo cookie crust.

4. In the microwave (or a double boiler) melt the 1 cup of chocolate chunks and the milk chocolate, along with the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. If you use the microwave, you stop and stir about every 30 seconds to keep the chocolate from burning.

5. Stir the chocolate mixture frequently until smooth and spread evenly over the prepared cookie crust.

6. Sprinkle the mini chocolate chips and take the reserved Oreo cookies and break into large chunks. Sprinkle over the top of the bar cookies. Press down gently into the chocolate topping. Bake for 20-22 minutes oven.

7. Allow the Oreo cookie bars to cool for one hour, then melt the white chocolate chips. Drizzle (don't get impatient like me and dump it on top, DRIZZLE PEOPLE!) the white chocolate over the top of the bars, YUM!

8. Chill until firm and then gobble, gobble, gobble!

You can thank me later! Heehee! Smooches my dear peeps!

More yummers

I found another recipe for you all to try! I already tried it... WATCH OUT, they are YUMMERS!

Meet your new best friend:

Deluxe Chocolate Marshmallow Bars

Recipe courtesy of Taste of Home

3/4 cup butter, softened
1-1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional
4 cups miniature marshmallows

1-1/3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons butter
2 cups crisp rice cereal
In a small bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla.
Combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts if desired. Spread in a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan.
Bake at 350° for 15-18 minutes. Sprinkle with marshmallows; bake 2-3 minutes longer. Remove to a wire rack. Using a knife dipped in water, spread the melted marshmallows evenly over top. Cool completely.
For topping, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter in a small saucepan. Cook and stir over low heat until blended. Remove from the heat; stir in cereal. Spread over bars immediately. Chill. Yield: about 3 dozen.
